MSNJ Joins Litigation against United Healthcare

Friday, October 4, 2019

The Medical Society of New Jersey has joined litigation filed by several physician practices against United Healthcare. United has issued unilateral non-renewal letters to physicians in New Jersey who participate in the United Healthcare Community Plan. These non-renewals are issued without cause and will disrupt ongoing relationships among patients and their physicians. The trusted relationship between a patient and a physician is important to the ongoing health and wellness of our population. MSNJ will seek to stop United Healthcare from unilaterally non-renewing physician contracts without providing the required process for the physicians.

The case is filed in the US District Court in Newark, NJ with the first appearances scheduled for Friday October 2, 2019. MSNJ is being represented by Steven I. Adler of Mandelbaum Salsburg in Roseland, NJ.
